Since 1910, the Boy Scouts of America has provided an educational program for boys and young adults to build
character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness.

 


Our mission is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling
in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.


Our vision is to deliver the promise of providing a vibrant and uniquely values driven program, making us
the premier adventure seeking and character building organization for the youth of Ventura County.


Reasons to Support the Ventura County Council, BSA:

  • The Council serves over 8,000 young men and women annually
  • Over 100,000 hours of community service are rendered each year
  • Scouts learn about science, sports, crafts, trades, business, and future career choices by earning merit and other activity badges
  • Scouts participate in team-building and leadership exercises, outdoor activities, camping, and community service projects
  • Explorer Posts offer opportunities for young men and women to seek career opportunities with “hands-on” experiences
  • 169 Eagle Scouts honored last year

Your participation in the 2018 Boy Scout Golf Classic will:

  • Support programs and camps such as Camp 3 Falls (1,300 acres in Frazier Park), Camp Willett (536 acres in Ojai), and Cub Scout Day Camp each and every summer
  • Help ensure that Scouting’s ideals, experiences, and opportunities remain available to our youth
  • Provide under-privileged children with opportunities they would not otherwise have
  • Support and maintain a structure that is dedicated to public service and citizenship
