Join the Fight to End Lupus!
Raise funds for the fight against lupus at our 12th annual golf tournament. Mark Strickland’s leadership in memory of his mother has raised more than $240,000 for the fight against lupus.
Ninety percent of every dollar donated stays in Georgia to ensure the Chapter continues to provide and expand the only free, statewide lupus programs. The Chapter also supports the national research efforts funding and advocating for investment in lupus.
Join us for a great day of golf and help solve the cruel mystery of lupus.
What is Lupus?
Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that can damage any part of the body (skin, joints, and/or organs). "Chronic" means that the signs and symptoms tend to last longer than six weeks and often for many years.
In lupus, something goes wrong with the immune system, which is the part of the body that fights off viruses, bacteria, and germs ("foreign invaders," like the flu). Normally our immune systems produce proteins called "antibodies" which protect the body from these invaders. Learn more
