This 48" section of string will allow you to "credit" your putting stroke on the putting surface when close to the hole.  For example, each of the team's players miss a 16 foot birdie putt and the closest miss was 12 inches away from the cup.  Instead of using a stroke to achieve par, a purchased string can be used.  Simply lay the string down on the putting surface and line it up from the ball to the hole.  Remove that section of string, and claim a birdie score for that hole.  The removed section of string is no longer usable after that hole.  One 48" string per team limit.  Sold at the tournament site too.
