The National Football Foundation (NFF) Collier County Chapter, under the College Football Hall of Fame, is one of 130 Chapters in 47 states.  It serves as the pulse of a nationwide effort to encourage leadership, sportsmanship, and academic excellence among America's young football players.  The first chapters began operation in 1959, and today more than 12,000 passionate members carry on the legacy to Build Leaders Through Football.  Collectively, they host more than 300 events each year, reaching more than 500,000 football players in 5,000 high schools.

Each year, the chapters across the U.S. award more than $1 million in scholarships while recognizing 3,500 high school and college student-athletes.  The honorees represent an exceptional group of young student-athletes, and many have gone on to become doctors, lawyers, scientists, engineers, and a few have even starred in the NFL.  At the center of each NFF chapter is a group of dedicated individuals with a pure and intense love of football and a desire to give back, strengthening the game for the next generation.

The Collier County Chapter has established a set of criteria for young scholar-athletes to aspire.  Our criteria of 40% athletics, 40% academics and 20% community service all aim to recognize achievement on the field, in the classroom and leadership in our community. The Chapter honors thirteen football high school seniors (one from each public & private school) in Collier County and one Special Olympics Unified Sport/Flag Football player. Our chapter recognizes these individuals at the Scholarship Awards Banquet with its own unique traditions.

Through a variety of activities and sponsorships, the chapter strives to bring coaches, players, and schools together to promote all the best things that come from the sport of football.

You can help the National Football Foundation - Collier County Chapter support these athletes by participating in our annual Scholarship Golf Tournament . You can also contribute via sponsorship and donations at our website NFFCollier.com.
