OUR SPONSORS

Lake of the Woods Adaptive Watersports is a 501c3 that was formed in early 2016 to give Veterans, all disabled people of different abilities, and their families a day on the lake participating in various watersports. Waterskiing, tubing, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, jet ski rides, ZUP Boarding, are just a few. We also provide yard games as well as face painting, rock painting, and various crafts. We provide a full lunch during the day as well. EVERYTHING is free to participants and their families / caregivers. We have multiple events during the summer that offer Veterans, adults, children and their families the opportunity to participate, no matter their diffAbility. DiffAbility is defined as “Blend of different +‎ ability, intended to remove the term's negative connotations”.

Historically our foundation has supported itself through donations.  Donations included cash AND boats that we were able to fix up and sell, and countless hours from our volunteers.  Then COVID happened.  Boat prices skyrocketed and people no longer wanted to donate their boats.  The board of the foundation has had to pivot to find new ways of funding the events and expenses involed in operating.  We have taken whole home donations, had estate sales, and we are adding Golf Tournaments as a fundraiser.  We rely on the generosity of our supporters and volunteers to provide not only their time to make our event successful, but also their boats. Personal property and cash donations to a 501c3 are tax deductible and we welcome all donations.

We are hosting the first DiffAbility Golf Tournament in our region. This golf tournament is our largest fundraiser of the year and we are anticipating a successful turnout. To ensure its success, it is vital to have the help and support of local businesses and the community. A group effort is essential to success. We look forward to working with you to make this a successful fundraiser for us and promote your business. The proceeds raised help us to continue our program and cover the cost of new equipment, maintenance of existing equipment, Lunch and gas needed for events, insurance, and day to day expenses. .

We are asking for golfers, sponsors, and donations.   Any product, gift card, cash prize, or other donation that could be used for prizes. In return for your support, we will recognize your business in various ways through social media, printed media, golf carts, scavenger hunts, score cards, and more.
