About the Tournament

The Joe Lacey Memorial Golf Tournament is a fundraising tournament that supports the Guelph Firefighters Benevolent Foundation. The Benevolent Foundation (which is made up of members of the Guelph Professional Firefighters Association) raises money through various events year round to support local hospitals (Guelph General Hospital & Groves Memorial Hospital) purchase off-budget life saving medical equipment.


The tournament honours Joe Lacey, a Guelph Firefighter who made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting his community. Joe passed away in the line of duty in 1975

Guelph Lakes Golf & Country Club measures 6391 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 136 and a 71.7 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels and will challenge you while providing a relaxing, picturesque backdrop.
