Girl Scouts is the preeminent leadership development organization for girls. For over 100 years, Girl Scouts has helped girls in grades K-12 build courage, confidence and character while exploring the outdoors, engaging in community service and exploring careers so that they are poised to make the world a better place.
While some people still think of Girl Scouts as just cookies, campfires, and friendship bracelets, they are so much more. Girl Scouts are big thinkers, explorers, doers and role models. They design robots, help those in need, and improve their communities—and yes, they sell the best cookies on the planet.
The Boy Scouts of America in Harford County is one of the nation’s largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations, serving over 30 Chartered Organizations with over 2,300 Co-Ed Youth Members and over 900 Adult Volunteers, providing programs for young people that build character, citizenship, and fitness. For more than 100 years, the BSA in Harford County has helped build future leaders by combining educational leadership activities and lifelong values with fun.
