The Christopher Center for Children with Autism and their Families was founded by Tanya Herbst in 2020 in an effort to ‘bridge the gap’ in quality support and services for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other Social Communication differences (ages 0-7) and their families. Tanya has worked in the fields of Early Childhood, Special Education, & Autism for over 25 years and has a strong passion for early identification of disabilities in young children during the prime time of brain growth and development; educating and supporting parents about their child’s unique needs; and working directly with young children on the Autism Spectrum using Research-Based Strategies to help each  child reach their fullest potential.

The Christopher Center is operating as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization under the Mankato Area Foundation while awaiting its own non-profit status.
