To mark the 10^th Anniversary of Hooked on Hope’s commitment to providing financial assistance to children with cancer and their families, proceeds from the 2019 and 2020 Hooked on Hope events will be utilized to launch and fund an Oncology Nurse Navigator position at SLCH.  The Oncology Nurse Navigator will provide the families of children with cancer with the resources to coherently navigate the multiple challenges they may face in the relocation process (if needed) and with appointments, care teams, psychosocial resources, housing, and more. The Nurse Navigator will be charged with intelligently and compassionately guiding these families through many daunting informational and logistical challenges, enabling them to focus less on the often distracting practical details and more on the physical and emotional needs of their child. 

The Hooked on Hope golf tournament, dinner and auction is held in memory of Carter Faust who passed away in 2012 after a fierce 3 year battle against Leukemia. To honor Carter's courage and his amazing spirit, Hooked on Hope seeks to provide a happier and healthier future for other kids with cancer and their families.
