1st Annual Manuel Granillo Championship

The 1st Annual Manuel Granillo Championship was created to honor and celebrate a man whose life was defined by love, laughter, family, and the games that brought people together. Manny’s passion for golf and baseball ran deep, and just as important was his unwavering dedication to his grandkids and their baseball team, the Tucson Padres.

Manny loved playing the game of golf—not just for the competition, but for the camaraderie, the conversations between shots, and the friendships built over 18 holes. Anyone who had the chance to walk a fairway with Manny knows you could always expect laughter, friendly competition, great storytelling, and plenty of memories along the way.

This tournament is our way of bringing those worlds together—golf and baseball—to celebrate Manny’s life in the way he would have loved most: surrounded by family, friends, teammates, and a community coming together for a great cause.

The day will be filled with fun on the course, competitive play, shared stories, and a celebration of Manny’s life and impact. Proceeds from the tournament will support the Tucson Padres Baseball Academy while also helping to provide continued support for Manny’s family—two causes that meant everything to him.
