Dave Scott

On May 15, 2015 at the age of 45, Dave Scott was taken from us after a couragous battle with cancer. A dedicated and respected Firefighter and Training Officer with the Guelph Fire Department for more than 20 years, Dave has been dearly missed by his fellow firefighters, his many friends and extended family.

Rodger Dekraker

On May 22, 2022 at the age of 55, Rodger Dekraker was taken from us suddenly.  Rodger was a woodworker and carpenter. He was a professional firefighter for the Guelph Fire Department for over 20 years and a volunteer firefighter for the Aylmer Fire Department. Rodger's smile and infectious laugh will be dearly missed by his fellow firefighters, his many friends and family.

Rick Earl

Captain Richard (Rick) Earl passed away suddenly in May 2010.  Rick was a respected member of the Guelph Fire Department for 27 years and will be remembered by his many colleagues, friends & family.

Greg Raynard

Fire Prevention Officer Greg Raynard, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at the Grand River Hospital in Kitchener, at the age of 63. Greg will always be remembers for his cooking skills as he was very talented in the kitchen, as well as being known as a cigar aficionado.

Line of Duty Deaths - Leroy Bennett & Joe Lacey

Leroy Bennett & Joe Lacey made the ultimate sacrifice, giving their lives protecting their community, just over a month apart.

On September 20, 1975, Leroy Bennett (left) passed away tragically at a structure fire.

On October 22, 1975, Firefighter Joe Lacey (right) also succumed to injuries sustained at a structure fire.
