All proceeds will benefit the Ann Arbor Rotary Foundation and make it possible for the Rotary Club of Ann Arbor to fund our “Helping Kids Succeed” scholarship programs, distribute grants to 10+ local nonprofit programs, and finance projects in parts of the world where children are most at risk.

The Rotary Club of Ann Arbor’s 21st Annual Golf and Pickleball Outing (GPO) will be on Monday, September 16, 2024 at Barton Hills Country Club. The GPO is our club’s signature fundraiser that allows RCAA to fund our “Helping Kids Succeed” scholarship programs, distribute grants to 10+ local nonprofit programs, and finance projects in parts of the world where children are most at risk. 

Schedule

10:45 - 11:45 am: Golf Registration & Lunch

11:45 am: Golf Shotgun Start

1:30 pm: Pickleball Registration

2:00 pm: Pickleball (includes pre-game clinic - Michigan's top pickleball instructor and his team will run two concurrent pre-tournament clinics, one for beginners and the other for experienced players)

5:00 pm: Cocktails, Silent Auction, Awards

7:00 pm: Dinner and Program with featured speaker, Professor Barbara L. McQuade

When the Golf & Pickleball Outing was originally conceived, it was for the following reasons:

• Help increase community public awareness of Rotary – bring together business and professional leaders to provide humanitarian service and advance goodwill and peace worldwide. Rotary’s seven areas of focus are:
  • Peace and conflict prevention/resolution
  • Disease prevention and treatment
  • Water, sanitation, and hygiene
  • Maternal and child health
  • Basic education and literacy
  • Recently added:
    • Mental health
    • Environment/climate change
    • Diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • At the local level, our focus has been “Helping Kids Succeed”

Our capacity for providing community support is dependent on the success of this event, our single largest fundraiser of the year!
