Parkinson Association of Greater Daytona Beach

The Parkinson Association of Greater Daytona Beach (PAGDB) is dedicated to enhancing, supporting and improving the lives of individuals and families affected by Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders in the Volusia/Flagler area by providing access to high quality comprehensive resources, programs and services; as well as innovative community partnerships.

We provide resources and services for individuals and their families affected by Parkinson's Disease in the greater Daytona Beach area. Our mission is to provide information, guidance and support to those in our community.

Services provided by PAGDB:

*Free E-Newsletter – Keeping members informed on the latest going on with our Parkinson community – including updates on the latest research and treatments. 

*Free Weekly Exercise Programs – For people with Parkinson’s and their caregivers! There are three locations for the exercise programs:

  • Mondays from 2:30pm -3:30pm: Motion & Mindfulness at Pictona 1060 Ridgewood Ave. Holly Hill
  • Wednesdays from 2:30pm-3:30pm: Adaptive Pickleball at Pictona 1060 Ridgewood Ave. Holly Hill
  • Thursdays from 2:30pm-3:30pm: Wholistic Movement at Port Orange YMCA 4701 City Center Pkwy.

*Free Educational Meetings – The PAGDB attracts a wide variety of speakers and experts in their fields that have value and interest to those with Parkinson’s disease. This program meets several times a year on the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 2pm-3:30pm at The Blake located at 1635 N. Williamson Blvd., Daytona Beach.

*Free Monthly Caregiver Support Groups

  • East Volusia Support Groups are held on the:
    • 4th Thursday of each month from 1pm-2pm at Rock Steady Boxing Gym 201 S. Ridgewood Ave. Suite 13 Edgewater.
    • 4th Tuesday of each month from 2pm-3pm at The Blake 1635 N. Williamson Blvd. Daytona Beach
  • West Volusia Support Groups are held on the:
    • 2nd Tuesday of each month from 2pm-3pm at Woodland Towers – 113 Chipola Ave., DeLand.

*Rock Steady Boxing (RSB) – Non-contact Boxing and corresponding circuit training specifically designed for people with Parkinson’s. This program is offered in New Smyrna Beach/Edgewater on Monday’s, Wednesday’s & Friday’s, and at Pictona in Holly Hill on Tuesdays & Thursdays. 

*Telephone Call Center – (386) 871-3879 - Manned call center where people can call and speak with a knowledgeable representative (or leave message for a call back) RE: questions, resources, or just to chat.

*Annual Fun Walk - At this annual event, our entire community - including individuals, families, and organizations that either directly serve or are touched in some way by Parkinson's disease (PD), come together for a half day of socialization, live music, food, goody bags, vendor displays, colorful event t-shirts, door prizes, and of course the non-competitive walk around a beautiful lake in a park like setting.
