We cannot wait to see you at this year's 🏈football themed 🏈 3rd Annual Whitman Foundation Golf Outing 🏌️‍♀️ and Fundraiser on Sunday, October 11th, 2026!

From the Hardest Hit to the Greatest Comeback!  Every football fan knows that the greatest stories are not written by those who were never knocked down. They are written by those who take the hardest hit, rise to their feet, and lead the team back from the brink. Jackie Whitman's story is that kind of comeback.

In 2024, Jackie faced a battle no one saw coming. What began as pneumonia at Saratoga Hospital rapidly escalated to septic shock and heart failure, resulting in an emergency airlift to Westchester Medical Center. Sixteen grueling days in Emergency and Intensive Care tested everything she had. Multiple surgeries followed, including partial amputation of her fingers and both legs below the knees. It was the kind of hit that would sideline most people permanently.

But Jackie is not most people.

As a devoted wife and mother of three, Jackie did not just fight her way back. She looked around and realized that while she was blessed with a team of family and community rallying behind her, many families face the same devastating plays without a sideline full of support. That awareness became her new game plan.

On September 5, 2024, The Whitman Foundation was born, formally recognized as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization by the IRS on December 9, 2024. What started as one woman's personal adversity became a mission to ensure that no family has to face a medical crisis alone and unprotected. The Foundation provides financial assistance and compassionate support to families navigating the overwhelming burden of medical expenses, so they can focus on recovery instead of choosing between their health and their financial survival.

And this community showed up like a championship roster.

From the very first event, the generosity has been nothing short of extraordinary. Sponsors, donors, volunteers, and supporters have locked arms around Jackie and the Foundation's mission, turning compassion into action and goodwill into real, tangible impact. Because of this community's incredible support, The Whitman Foundation has already been able to step in for families at their most vulnerable moments, providing financial relief when medical bills threatened to overwhelm them, offering hope when the weight of uncertainty felt unbearable, and proving that no one in this community has to face the fight alone. Every dollar raised, every sponsorship secured, and every hand extended has translated directly into families receiving the support they desperately needed. That is the power of what we are building together, and it is only the beginning. At this year's event, you will hear firsthand about the lives that have been changed because of your generosity - the real stories, the real impact, and the real families who are standing stronger today because this community refused to let them fall.

The 3rd Annual Whitman Family Golf Outing and Fundraiser is our championship game. It is the day we come together as a team, united by purpose, fueled by gratitude, and driven by the belief that this community does not leave its people behind. This year, we celebrate Jackie's incredible comeback while continuing to grow the Foundation's ability to deliver crucial support to families who need it most.

This is more than a day on the course. It is a statement. It is proof that when a community locks arms, no challenge is too great and no family has to face the fourth quarter alone.

Throw on your favorite football jersey. Show up for your team. And join us as we honor Jackie's journey while building a legacy of hope, strength, and support for others.

Your participation and support will help The Whitman Foundation continue its vital mission of providing hope and assistance to families in their time of greatest need.

We cannot wait to see you on the field at The Whitman.

With Gratitude and Hope,

The Whitman Foundation

Building a Legacy of Impact: The Whitman Foundation's Game Plan for the Future

Every championship team has a game plan that goes beyond the next play. It is built for sustained drives, for long-term wins, for a legacy that outlasts any single season. The Whitman Foundation's vision is exactly that - a plan to expand our ability to serve this community with compassion, purpose, and lasting impact for years to come.

The 3rd Annual Whitman Family Golf Outing and Fundraiser is the engine behind this vision. Each year, this event fuels our commitment to not only continue our core mission of supporting families during medical crises but also to create meaningful, generational change through education and community building.

The Financial Assistance Fund: Protecting Families When It Matters Most

At the heart of our game plan is the continued growth of our Financial Assistance Fund. This cornerstone program provides immediate financial support to families facing unexpected medical challenges, covering critical expenses from medical bills to household necessities. We understand that during health crises, families should never have to choose between medical care and keeping their lights on or maintaining a roof over their heads. This fund ensures they do not have to make that call alone. As the Foundation grows, so does our ability to reach more families, respond faster, and provide deeper support when it matters most.

The Whitman Foundation Scholarship Program: Developing the Next Generation

Every great franchise invests in its future. We are proud to continue building The Whitman Foundation Scholarship Program, an initiative that recognizes and supports graduating seniors from Saratoga Springs School District who exemplify the spirit of resilience and leadership that Jackie Whitman has demonstrated throughout her life. The scholarship is awarded to a female student-athlete who has shown exceptional dedication and execution in athletics while balancing academics and community service - the kind of player who elevates everyone around her. As the Foundation grows, our vision is to expand this program, reaching more students and more communities, developing the next generation of leaders who will carry this mission forward.

Building a Championship Support Network

To ensure sustainable, long-term impact, we are developing partnerships with local healthcare providers and community organizations, creating a comprehensive support network for families in crisis. This collaborative approach allows us to maximize our resources and reach more families in need while building a model for sustainable assistance that can grow alongside our community.

Through community engagement programs, we aim to raise awareness about navigating medical crises and life-altering transformations while creating meaningful volunteer opportunities within the Foundation. By fostering these connections, we strengthen not only our ability to serve but also the bonds that make our community a team that never quits on its own.

The Long Game

This is not a one-season effort. Our vision is to build something that endures - a foundation so deeply rooted in this community that no family ever has to face a medical crisis without a team behind them. Every year, every event, every dollar of support moves us closer to that reality. What started with one woman's comeback story is becoming a lasting institution of hope, resilience, and action.

Your Role on This Team

Your participation in this year's Golf Outing and Fundraiser directly supports these vital initiatives, helping us build a legacy of hope, education, and community support that will benefit generations to come. Together, we can transform challenges into opportunities and create lasting positive change in our community.

Join us in making this vision a reality. This is our drive. This is our legacy. And we need you on the field.
