Golf for Grunts!
Please join us at 0800, Saturday, October 8, for the second annual Flags for our Fallen golf tournament hosted by Ward Roney Jr. VFW Post 7511 of Monroe.
This is a fun way to engage in some lighthearted competition with your friends and neighbors while supporting Post 7511’s commitment to making life better for veterans and its dedication to community enrichment. All funds raised by this golf tournament help ensure the Post’s continued ability to assist local veterans in need and their families, serve the community, coordinate programs for youth, and conduct legislative advocacy.
Your support helps ensure many vital programs and initiatives, including:
Annual Voice of Democracy, Patriot’s Pen, and Youth Essay contests
Annual Teacher of the Year contest
The Ward Roney Jr VFW Post 7511 Memorial Scholarship fund for deserving Monroe High School students
VFW Public Servant Awards for local first responders
