2nd Annual JPC Classic - Jared Patrick Code Memorial Golf Tournament: Hidden Lake Golf Club | Saturday June 13, 2026

In Loving Memory of Jared Patrick Code
It is with deep love and admiration that we honor the memory of our beloved son, brother, and friend, Jared Patrick Code, through this annual memorial golf tournament – the JPC Classic.
Jared had a passion for golf that started when he joined the Stark County High School golf team his freshman year. It was one of the many things that brought him joy and connected him to the people who loved him. He played many rounds of golf with his family and friends sharing a laugh, or pushing himself to improve.
This tournament is not just a competition—it is a celebration of the life he lived. A life filled with kindness, laughter, and a generosity of spirit that touched everyone he met. Jared had an innate ability to bring people together, and we carry that legacy forward with every swing, every shot, and every memory shared on this course.
He always had a heart for helping others, and we hope this event will continue to inspire that same spirit of giving.
Thank you for being part of this special day, for remembering him, and for supporting his memory. May the game we all love bring us closer, as it did for him.
Forever in our hearts,
The Family of Jared Code
Proceeds will be primarily going to the following organizations:
About the AFSP Illinois Chapter
The grassroots work we do focuses on eliminating the loss of life from suicide by: delivering innovative prevention programs, educating the public about risk factors and warning signs, raising funds for suicide research and programs, and reaching out to those individuals who have lost someone to suicide.
As a part of AFSP’s growing nationwide network of chapters, we bring together people from all backgrounds who want to prevent suicide in our communities. Families and friends who have lost someone to suicide, vulnerable individuals, mental health professionals, clergy, educators, students, community/business leaders, and many others energize our chapter.
Teen Showcase is a community effort to educate Youth in the LaSalle County area on diverse topics that highlight the importance of making positive life choices. The annual event is the area's largest conference for teens.
Over 600 7th - 11th graders visit Illinois Valley Community College (IVCC) to view presentations on health alternatives to alternatives to alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs, setting positive goals, handling pressure, teen dating violence, internet safety, bullying, and other youth-related issues.
Teen Showcase is a collaborative effort between North Central Behavioral Health Systems and the LaSalle County Health Department.
Cory teaches students resilience and tools to overcome challenges and pursue their dreams, while creating a positive school culture. Studies show that suicide among youth is at an all-time high. Teens are struggling to find a sense of belonging. Now, more than ever, it is so vitally important to empower and encourage our youth to rise above their current circumstances. Your students will leave this assembly with a renewed self-image and the resilience to handle adversity and bullying. They will be empowered to take responsibility for the solution instead of focusing on the problem.
