We are so excited to share with you that we will be hosting our 4^th Annual Bob Acton Charity golf tournament on Friday October 9th at the Shawneeki Golf Club to raise funds for We Play Sports For Life. 

Due to current restrictions, the tournament will look slightly different this year, with the main change being tee times scheduled 8am-1pm, scramble format.

We will be selling raffle tickets at the tournament and winners will be announced via email and social media that night. Lastly, our prizes for our contests (hole-in-one, etc) will still happen this year but will be slightly different. Rules will be explained at the course.

We are very thankful to the Shawneeki Gold Club for hosting our tournament as COVID-19 has drastically impacted our community and children’s ability to have access to sport programming. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to help provide sport programming to children in need of financial support.

Our vision at We Play Sports For Life is to provide children with accessible sports training that will develop their self-esteem and empower them to utilize skills they learn through sport, for the rest of their lives. Now more than ever before there is an increased financial need to help provide children with accessible sports training due to the financial impacts of COVID-19.

COVID-19 has impacted families within our community and we are seeing these influences through registration for local sport programs. Help us, help families use sport as a vehicle of success in life, and continue to provide today’s youth with innovative opportunities and experiences through sports.
