Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament

 
Once again the Tau Omega Chapter in conjunction with the Philia Foundation is excited to host the 4th Annual Dr. Drewry Vincent Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament.  Dr. Vincent, a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., was a dentist that heavily involed in community with special interest in the development of youth especially African American youth interested in science and health care. This event will be hosted at the well known Greensboro National Golf Club in Summerfield, NC on August 2, 2024, registration will open at 7:30 with a 8:30am shotgun start.  This fundraising event significantly assist the Greensboro community with scholarships for local high school students and a new fund for aspiring science students interested in a career in health care, dentistry or health sciences as well as supporting youth to attend an annual Boys Camp and mentoring programs.  Your help is truly needed for this tournament to be a success for the outstanding youth of the community who participate in this programs. You can do your part by registering to play, sponsor or donate to the event.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT: 2-golfer Captian's Choice format, This year's event will be comprise of 2-golfers per team.  

 

FIELD LIMITATIONS: The field is limited to the first 144 players COST: $100 per player, $200 per team, or become one of our tournament sponsors.

 

ON COURSE CONTEST: There will be a $10,000 hole-in-one contest on hole to be determine, closest to the pin contest on Par 3 holes and a long drive contest.  

 

TOURNAMENT AWARDS: Top finishers will leave with hardware to showcase on their mantel or shelf. There will also be numerous door prizes and each golfer will recieve a tournament gift bag. 

 

LUNCH: Following the golf tournament join us for delectable lunch in the club house perpared by the clubs restauant staff.  Durng this time scores will be tallied to determine which team(s) will be presented with an award. Door prizes will be available as well.
