The Linda Allard DeMarco Memorial Scholarship

We created this scholarship in memory of our mom, Linda Allard DeMarco, a 1977 Killingly High School graduate. While at KHS she was an athlete, playing field hockey and running track as well as a scholar, part of the National Honor Society. She was passionate about helping others, this was evidenced through her volunteer work especially the American Cancer Society's Reach to Recovery program.

She loved working at Day Kimball Hospital in the maternal child health unit, helping mothers and babies brought her so much joy. She truly enjoyed being a nurse.

In creating this scholarship, our family hopes to continue Linda's legacy of caring for the wellbeing of others by providing assistance to seniors that plan to attend post secondary school or college to study nursing.

We awarded two $1,500 scholarships to two deserving candidates; Grace Higgins and Alexis Smith

2017

Peyton Fitzgerald was awarded a $1,500 scholarship.

2016

In our first year we awarded Bernice Boateng a $1,000 scholarship.
