The EDM4USTroops golf tournament was founded and established in 2012 by EDM's COO, Arun Singh.

One of Arun's greatest passions and convictions is supporting our wounded veterans and their families. The need is historically great and widespread, and only continues to grow. Along with Arun, EDM is proud to partner, year after year, with some of the Triangle's most influential companies and individuals who share our care and concern for America's heros.

Prestonwood Country Club

Originally designed by golf course architect Tom Jackson, a Robert Trent Jones protege, who designed over 75 golf courses in the Southeast including the dramatic Cliffs of Glassy Golf Club - one of Golf Digest’s top four most scenic courses in America behind Cypress Point, Pebble Beach and Augusta National. Our courses, with mirrored ponds and manicured greens, offer golfers of all skill levels a challenging round.

Our recent green complex renovation was completed by Jack Nicklaus protege Rick Robbins, recently elected President of the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA) and named one of the Most Influential Figures in Golf by the NC Golf Panel and includes rebuilt green complexes, replacement of select bunkers and numerous playability enhancements with the objective of improving pin placements and green surface, as well as provide a more consistent style of design.

Prestonwood has played host to some of the most celebrated golf talents and has been a favored venue of the SAS Championship, a PGA TOUR Champions Tour event.

In fact, World Golf Hall of Fame member Nick Price offered this about Prestonwood, “I’ve always enjoyed that it’s a ball striker’s golf course. It doesn’t pressure you to go at the flag all the time - you do have options, which every good golf course has, different ways of playing your approach shots to the green.”

Soldiers and Airmen Assistance Fund, Inc., helps NC National Guard members and their families by providing financial assistance in a time of need. The SAAF provides Guard Commanders a valuable asset to maintain the morale and welfare of Soldiers, Airmen and their families by awarding grants to applicants with a valid need. Operation Coming Home builds and gives away homes with the help of their local home builders and subcontractors. In 2007, a group of local veterans and members of the Home Builders Assocation of Raleigh - Wake County decided to create a project for severely wounded veterans. The mission of this project is to aid a local military service member who were severely wounded in combat, by fulfilling his/her family desire to live the American Dream of home ownership.
