Buses n' Backpacks

 

 

Buses n’ Backpacks was started in 2005 as a ministry of The Church at South Lake. The vision for the program started with a simple question: What would it look like for our church to take Jesus at his word and really love our neighbor as ourselves? Since then, the organization has grown from serving 15 children with a weekend backpack of food, to a partnership with 17 local schools, to serving seniors by delivering food, to mentoring at-risk teens. South Lake Community Ministries is a 501c3 organization with an independent Board of Directors.
