WHAT IS THIS EVENT ALL ABOUT?

FUN WITH FRIENDS! This is a charity event involving a traditional “bar crawl” with a twist. Each bar & participating local business designs their own mini golf, putt putt golf hole. You compete as a team or solo traveling from bar to bar playing 9-11 holes of mini golf.

IS THIS A BIG EVENT?

The last two year’s event saw over 300 participants.

WHO DOES THE EVENT BENEFIT?

All of the proceeds benefit Legacies Alive, a federally registered 501c3 non profit organization. In addition the event serves as a fundraiser for The Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Department and promotes local businesses in the Bridgewater community.

WHO/WHAT IS LEGACIES ALIVE?

Legacies Alive is a federally registered 501c3 charity dedicated to giving unwavering support to our Nation’s Gold Star Family members, some of whom are volunteering to supervise mini golf holes honoring their Fallen Hero during the event

WHAT IS A GOLD STAR FAMILY?

The term “Gold Star” describes a family member who has lost a loved one in military service. The Gold Star first made an appearance during World War I after being placed over a service flag’s blue star when a service member was killed in combat.

WHEN IS IT?

Saturday, September 12th Noon to 5pm. “Shotgun” start at noon at your assigned start hole, play should conclude at 5pm.  Awards After Party 5-8pm.

WHY MORE THAN NINE HOLES? This is a community based event benefiting a great charity, showcasing  beautiful Bridgewater and local businesses, as well as the support & cooperation between our local bar/restaurants.

WHERE IS THIS EVENT HELD?

The event is held throughout the community of Bridgewater, PA “starting” on Riverside Dr. at The Standard to Kelly’s Riverside Saloon, Bigham Tavern, Bridgewater Fire Dept., Pier 19, Mario’s 410, the Grumpy Beaver, & Robert's Roadside

DO I HAVE TO BE 21?

Yes, this is an over 21 event. You will need to show valid ID.

CAN I VOLUNTEER TO HELP?

Yes!! Each mini golf hole is manned by volunteers from Legacies Alive & they welcome all the help they can get!

CAN YOU HAVE MORE THAN 4 ON A TEAM?

Yes, you can have more than 4 on a team/group but if you want to be part of team scoring you can only record 4 players on a score card.  

CAN YOU GOLF WITH LESS THAN 4?

Yes! You can join solo (we can pair you up), as a couple or a threesome, you just wouldn't be part of team competition. 

WHERE DO I GO THE DAY OF THE EVENT?

Registration will begin at 10:00 am at The Bridgewater Fire Department at 619 Market St. Beaver, PA 15009. At registration you will receive your free swag bag, event t-shirt, commemorative golf ball, score card & starting hole location. You then walk or ride (transportation provided) to your starting hole.

IS THERE FREE BEER?

No. There are beer/drink specials at each bar, and at Bridgewater Fire Dept (as part of their fundraiser) during registration and the after party.

DO I HAVE TO DRINK BEER OR ALCOHOL?

NO! Sobriety is both admired & encouraged! The day is all about fun with friends & family!

DO I HAVE TO BE GOOD AT GOLF?

NO!! It’s more fun if you are NOT good at golf!

CAN I CARRY MY DRINK ON TRANSPORTATION OR WALKING BETWEEN HOLES?

YES! Local law enforcement has temporarily suspended open container enforcement during the event. NO GLASS containers and please respect and use trash receptacles. 

WHAT IS THE COST:

Cost is $50 per person with all proceeds going directly to Legacies Alive, a certified 501c3 charity benefiting Gold Star Military Families.   Each participant gets a free commemorative golf ball, swag bag cooler, event t-shirt and dinner after the bar crawl.

WHERE DO I PARK?

You can park at any of the participating bar/restaurants, shuttle transportation will run in a continuous route loop starting at 11:30am until 8:30pm.

WILL THERE BE TRANSPORTATION BETWEEN BARS?

Yes, Kelly’s Party Bus & The Standard’s Ducky Boat will provide  transportation running in a continuous route loop starting at 10:00 am until 8:30pm

DO I NEED MY OWN PUTTER & GOLF BALL?

NO! While we encourage you to bring a putter you do not need a putter to participate. There will be a “house” putter at each mini golf hole & you receive a free commemorative golf ball at registration.

IS THIS EVENT JUST FOR YOUNG PEOPLE?

NO! We have participants from 21 (must be) to 91 (or close to)

WILL THERE BE FOOD?

There will be free snacks available throughout the course at various bars from hot dogs to light buffets. An after party awards dinner will be held at the Fire Department with a buffet dinner, prizes, 50/50 raffle, gift basket raffle, DJ & dancing.

ARE THERE PRIZES?

Yes! Prizes for any hole in one. Prizes for best outfit/attire, best team name, best team outfits, best team score, best individual score
