Cancer Resource Charity Classic

This Tournament is raising funds for the Dewberry Cancer Resource Center at Virginia Hospital Center. The Cancer Resource Center offers a wide range of services focused on improving the quality of life for patients beyond medical care. Funds raised from this tournament will go toward providing emergency financial assistance for patients facing challenges such as paying for rent, utilities, groceries, or transportation. In addition, donations will help supply essential items like wigs, head coverings, and comfort items for those undergoing treatment, as well as support services including counseling, support groups, and wellness programs. These resources play a critical role in reducing the physical, emotional, and financial burdens associated with cancer.

Our goal for this tournament is to raise $10,000 to directly support patients and families in our community served by the resource center. Every contribution will make a tangible impact by helping provide both immediate assistance and long-term support for those facing cancer in the Northern Virginia area. 

Cancer is a disease that has impacted many of our families, including my own. My name is Tyler Hong, organizer and host of this ingaural event. I have personally seen the impacts of cancer on families, with many of my own family members having cancer and being served by the resource center.

I believe in the power of sports to build community, resiliancy, and resources for those who need it.
