Christmas for Kids Annual Tournament

Progress Rail, A Caterpillar Company, is excited to announce our 25th Annual Christmas for Kids Charity Golf Outing will be held at Hampton Cove in Huntsville, Ala., on Thursday, October 18, 2018.

This year’s four-man scramble tournament will be played on two 18-hole championship courses at the Robert Trent Jones Hampton Cove Golf Course.

As of 09/11/18, we have reached our maximum number of golfers. If you would still like to sponsor a hole, please click on the Store tab at the top and choose your sponsorship level. Or if you'd like to make a donation, click on the red Donate option just below the top menu. You may pay online with any major credit card, including American Express. Or, if you prefer to mail a check, please register and select the "mail check" option at checkout. All hole sponsor contributions and general donations directly fund our Christmas for Kids organization, which is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity.

We began this effort in 1993 with a goal to help children in need through a 52-person golf tournament. With a record 240 golfers in 2017, this event has grown substantially over the years. Through generous contributions from last year’s event, we supported more than 730 children in December. At our annual Christmas for Kids party, we hosted 170 kids from four local school systems, as Santa Claus welcomed each child with new school clothes, shoes, winter jackets and several toy surprises. Additionally, we sponsored another 300 children identified by the Marshall County Christmas Coalition plus 116 local children identified by school guidance counselors. Also, the Big Oak Ranch received a large contribution to assist 150 children who call Big Oak Ranch home.
