Splish Splash - Help Us Buy New Baths

How often do we take our abilities or our home comforts for granted? We jump into the shower, while others prefer to luxuriate in a nice bath. When you live in a care home, those things are still vitally important; however the experience is quite different. The benefits of bathing are more than skin deep—bathing promotes a feeling of well-being. In the tub you feel lighter; moving stiff limbs becomes easier and can help maintain mobility. And more than physical benefits, bathing is mentally beneficial as it can soothe away stress.

Over our 30 years, Columbus has been able to create wonderful spa-like bathing environments for our residents that promote hygiene, relaxation and well-being.

Columbus Residence needs to replace its existing tubs. No government funding is received for capital asset improvements. We rely on grant funding and fundraising to purchase items such as the bath tubs we need to replace. This tournament will help raise $90,000 for new tubs, so we ensure our residents maintain their quality of life.
