Mines Advisory Group MAG
MAG, a co-recipient of the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize, is one of the largest non-profit humanitarian organizations helping communities recover from conflict by removing the threat of landmines, unexploded ordnance, and small arms and light weapons. MAG employs and trains local people in landmine and UXO clearance so they can rebuild their lives and communities. MAG also provides risk education, particularly for children, and helps people find ways to live alongside the danger of landmines and unexploded bombs so the risk of death and injury is reduced.
