Participant Waiver of Liability

The health and well-being of our members, sponsors, volunteers and staff across the country is a top priority for the Canada Green Building Council (hereafter “CaGBC”). To ensure the safety of all participants in the CaGBC Drive for Change Golf Tournament (the “Tournament”, checking the above box, I acknowledge and agree as follows:

1. I hereby acknowledge and agree that I am entering the Tournament voluntarily and am aware that by my participation there may be inherent risks to my health and well-being including, but not limited to, exposure to the COVID-19 virus.
2. I acknowledge that I have been made aware of enhanced safety protocols as may be published by Glen Abbey Golf Club and/or ClubLink, have had the opportunity to review them and agree to abide by their provisions including, but not limited to, requirements for sanitization and physical distancing precautions, and I undertake to take due care to follow said protocols as a condition of my participation in the Tournament.
3. I understand that any risk to my health and well-being may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, CaGBC employees, volunteers, and participants. I voluntarily agree to assume all of the risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to myself, including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, death, illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense of any kind, that I may experience or incur in connection with my participation.
4. I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless CaGBC, its employees, volunteers, agents, and representatives, of and from any and all Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating to my participation. I understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of CaGBC, its employees, agents, volunteers and representatives, whether such damage, injury or illness, including but not limited to COVID-19 infection, occurs before, during or after my participation.
5. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless CaGBC and its employees, volunteers, agents, and representatives from and against all claims, losses, damages, costs, expenses, actions and other proceedings, made, sustained, brought, prosecuted, threatened to be brought or prosecuted, in any manner based upon, occasioned by or attributable to the negligence or willful acts or omissions of myself as a result of my participation and/or failure to properly follow any measures or protocols.
6. I have read and understand the Participant Waiver of Liability and consent to its application regarding my participation in the golf tournament.
