2020 Tournament Recap (COVID edition)

 

The third annual Father and Son Memorial Tournament did not miss a beat even with the COVID-19 rules and regulations. Thanks to eveyone's generosity, the charity fundraiser raised over $9,000 for the scholarship funds! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had to shift the layout from a shotgun start, to 33 consecutive teetimes starting at 7:30 AM. We appreciate everyone's flexibility in still being able to participate as well as following the guidelines that we put in place to ensure patient safety. The course was in great condition after the storm and managed to perfection by the good man Colby Pitts. 

The boys from Dothan, AL took home first place with an extremely impressive score of -25 (with handicap). Congrats to the team of Benson, Holder, Howard, and Reid, incredible score! The Mosley crew finished second (Fuhrmann, Infinger, Quimuyog, Williams) and Dr Mike and the Gang (Cox, Hanson, Jacobson, McCrary) took home third place. Unfortunately due to COVID, we were not able to have the closest to the pin and long drive contests this year. We hope to get back to a more normal layout in 2021, dependent on the rules and regulations regarding the pandemic. 

g.Foley's was as generous as ever and donated box lunches for all players. Thank you all so much for your kindness! We hope to have the fish fry and after celebration this year to enjoy everyone's company together!
