Adam’s Story

An Ahoskie native, wanting to become a police officer since the age of eight, Adam made his dream come true in 1992. He served the Eastern NC area for 21 years before being diagnosed with ALS in 2012. He is now confined to his wheelchair, in which he operates with the movement of his head, and lives in his home with the assistance from his parents, sisters, and children. He and his family are thankful for each day and pray for a cure for the multitude of those affected by this horrific disease.
