Founded in 2007, the Yuma County Ag Producers Scholarship
(YCAPS) was created to ensure local students had a pathway into
agriculture-related careers that strengthen our region. In the 19
years since its creation, YCAPS has:

Awarded 312 Scholarships

Supported Students from Yuma County and the Imperial
Valley

Invested $533,500 Directly Into Agricultural Education

Helped Students Pursue Degrees at Arizona Western
College and The University of Arizona

In 2026, YCAPS received a record number of
applicants and awarded 30 scholarships totaling
$70,000. Interest in the program continues to
grow each year, increasing the need for expanded
fundraising efforts to support more students in our
community.
