Inaugural Jonathon DeMatteo Classic!

On September 28th, 2025 Jonny D. would have turned 40, so let's celebrate his memory by playing some golf and raising some money to help students.

For the past 17 years the DeMatteo Family has awarded a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating Hamden High School senior furthering their education in memory of Jon.  The Jonathon Patrick DeMatteo scholarship has been a great way to give back to a school and community that gave US so much.

As a way to continue this scholarship and expand our ability to help, in 2025 our family decided to set up The DeMatteo Family Foundation as a full fledge 501c3 Charitable Organization with a mission to teach and develop skills and literacy to area youth with a focus on marginalized communities in the areas of sports, technology and the arts through experiential learning, training and coaching.

The goal of the inaugural Jonathon DeMatteo Classic is to raise $40,000 for 40!  We have a donor who will match whatever we raise, so first goal is $20,000. All donations and proceeds will benefit The DeMatteo Family Foundation and Jonathon Patrick DeMatteo Scholarship fund.
