Q: WHAT DO I NEED TO COMPLETE REGISTRATION?

A: You’ll need to make sure you have the following: 

• Both yours and your partner's information including cell phone, e-mail, DOB and mailing address.

• BY May 1, 2022- you will need: A handicap index calculated by the USGA and distributed through the Allied Golf Associations. Your handicap ID can be found on your handicap card or from your golf club. Your ID also may be referred to as a GHIN #, CDGA #, WSGA #, IGA #, Grint #, MyScorecard #, US Handicap #, GolfNet #, or CCID #.   If you use Golf Net or US Handicap, your online club must be compliant with the USGA.  This can be found in your profile by clicking on the hyperlinked online club name. 

Q: DO I NEED A VERIFIED HANDICAP TO REGISTER?

A: No. But you will need to establish a handicap prior to the event otherwise you will play as a Scratch.

Q: WHAT DO I DO IF I AM ESTABLISHING A HANDICAP INDEX FOR THE FIRST TIME WITH A USGA VERIFIED ASSOCIATION?  

A: It will need to be completed prior to May 1, 2022.

Q: WHAT IF I DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH SCORES TO ESTABLISH A CURRENT OR LOW INDEX?

A: We will plan to have you play as a scratch, and handicap adjustments may be made at any time at the Tournament Director’s discretion. 

Q: WHAT IS THE PLAYING FORMAT?

A: Scoring and handicaps will be done slightly differently this year. We are constantly seeking to make the field as level and as fair as possible, and to reward those who play the best relative to their true ability. So here is how handicaps will work this year.

• We chose a day (secretly) within a few weeks of the EVENT and are basing every player’s handicap off his/her index on that day.

• We are adjusting the entire field off the lowest course handicap playing as 0. No one will “give back strokes”.

• We are taking 50% of every player’s course handicap.

• Two-person best ball, also known as four ball, stroke play. Each player plays his/her own ball, and your team score for each hole is the lowest net score of the two players.

• The top teams will receive a cash prize.

Q: CAN I REPLACE MY PARTNER IF HE/SHE CAN NO LONGER PLAY?

A: Yes.  You can replace your partner by emailing: bbarry94@icloud.com and making the request. 

Q: WHAT DOES MY REGISTRATION FEE COVER?

A: A team's registration fee covers 18  holes of golf, food, beer and Transfusions on course, a tee gift, evening Pre-Party @ Tropicana, a double occupancy room night at Tropicana, prizes and more. 

Q: IS THERE AN AGE REQUIREMENT?

A: Yes, all participants must be 21+ at the time of the tournament.  All participants will be asked to show valid ID upon on-site registration.

Q: WHICH TEES WILL BE PLAYED?

A: The Tournament team will determine course setup based on course conditions, weather, and other factors, but a general target is to play the Blue Tees (6,200 yards for men and Red Tees 5,000 yards for women).

Q: WHAT HAPPENS IN THE CASE OF A TIE?

A: Any ties will be determined by a scorecard playoff which will begin on hole 18 and go backwards (17, 16, 15, etc.) until winners are determined.   

Q: WHAT IS THE DAILY ITINERARY FOR THE EVENTS?

A: Legacy Cup will have a 9am shotgun start. Breakfast will be served. You can hit the driving range, and mingle before you tee off.
