Welcome to the 3rd annual Mark Holzknecht Memorial Golf Tournament!

2020 was the year that shook the world. With all the pain and suffering the world was enduring, our small town of Stanwood/Camano was hit with a tremendous loss. Mark passed away July 4th, 2020, at the young age of 56. Words cannot describe the impact this had not only on his family, but on the surrounding community as well. He was a patriot that would stand up for our God-given rights, and above all things, he was a man devoted to his faith. He was a kind, patient, loving, hardworking man.

 

Anyone who knew Mark knew that he liked to have fun. He had many toys and gadgets, and if you were nearby, you’d hear about it. From coaching his sons in soccer (Firestorm strong!) to starting up a group on Facebook for selling and trading gear and anything manly (Man Bunker, to whom he was affectionately called “the Overlord”), to the many projects he would do on the weekends, Mark was always on to some new adventure. He couldn’t sit still!

 

While Golf was never something that he got into, Mark was the biggest family man. Being 1 of 10 kids, and having what he would say was “only” 8 kids of his own, Mark valued family to no end. Not only that, but he was the kind of man that made sure you felt like family, whether you were blood or not; it was not uncommon for him to pick up hitchhikers, donate his time to help a neighbor in need, or just gather the community together doing something fun. He spent his last day doing just that. 

 

We appreciate all the love and support to make this happen. To be able to carry on Mark's memory and bring everyone together for a fun day in the sun is something truly special. All the stories, the laughter, and fellowship. We are looking forward to seeing you! 

Tournament information:

Registration will open at 6:30. Come have a cup of coffee and doughnuts (sponsored by Bean & Brew) The driving range and putting greens will be available if you'd like to get some practice in! The opening ceremony and tournament layout will be at 7:30 followed by a shotgun start at 8. Lunch will be passed out via volunteers (lunch details to be announced soon) Following the tournament's end, we will have an ending Ceremony at the Camaloch Chalet!

Donations:

Mark believed strongly in taking care of all life, not to mention he loved babies, and for that reason we are partnering with 2 Hearts Pregnancy Aid to provide an opportunity for this day to be fun AND support a worthy cause. At the registration table day of the tournament we will have a QR code set up to donate straight to 2 Hearts Pregnancy Aid. Thank you

Hole Sponsor: This gives you one hole to advertise your company and products/services. This includes a golf cart and lunch for anyone helping manage the hole.*Limited quantities available*

Raffle Sponsor: This gives you one sign for the “Thank you hole” and your logo on the website. All proceeds go to the raffle at the end of the tournament. Donations for this sponsor starts at $100
