Rick Laminack had two passions in life. One was golf and the other was dogs. He was the co-founder of Dog Lodge. Rick's inspiration, generosity, and firm belief that every dog has the right to live with dignity and pass with grace combined to be the driving force for the work done at Dog Lodge.
Dog Lodge is dedicated to providing a permanent home for senior and senior special needs dogs. In essence, we are a retirement home and hospice facility not only for elderly dogs that have ended up in shelters, but also, on occasion, senior dogs from private homes.
We offer the highest quality of life to all our dogs, making sure that the physical and emotional health needs of each are addressed and that all receive the love and attention that they need and deserve. We are also providing financial assistance to owners of senior and senior special needs dogs who want to keep their pets at home instead of turning them out on the streets or leaving them in a shelter, but who have a limited income or have fallen on hard times and cannot afford the cost of medical care. Dog Lodge will provide grants for certain medical expenses in cases where the prognosis is favorable. How much better would it be for a dog that has lived happily with a family to continue living in that loving environment? And would it not be better for the animal welfare system to have one less dog that needed to be rehomed?
We are thrilled to invite you to our memorial golf tournament where a passion for golf meets the power of making a change in the lives of so many needy dogs. Your participation in this event not only honors the memory of Rick Laminack, but it directly contributes to a worthy cause.
We could not do this without each and every one of you!!
