Shamrock Cup (Ryder Cup) - 2025

36 Hole Format:

• Game 1 (Saturday, September 27th, 2025)                                                                              Game 2 (Sunday, September 27th, 2025)
• "Lakes" Golf Course (Blue Tees)                                                                                                "Lakes" Golf Course (BLACK tees)

Details

Players will be divided into two evenly matched groups – “Red Team” and “White Team.” Each Team will have a “Captain” Making Player Selections for their Team throughout the Tournament – players will wear either “Red” or “White”.  Our 2025 Captains are Marlon Watson (Red Team) and Pete Farjado (White Team)

Day 1

Game 1 Format Four-Ball Match Play– Saturday, September 27th, 2025

• Each match will have (4) players
• Two players will be from the “Red Team”.
• Two Players will be from the “White Team”.
• Each player will play their “own” ball.
• Scores are recorded by each player for the hole.
• For each hole, the lowest “individual” score for each Team is compared to determine if the hole is won/lost or tied.
   
  Example:
  Red-PlayerA scores 4
  Red -PlayerB scores 4
  White-PlayerA scores 7
  White-PlayerB scores 3

In the above example, the Red Team has a hole score of 4, and the White Team wins the hole with a score of 3.
 

• Each match is won by whichever team (Red/White) wins the most holes. Each "match" is worth 1 point.
• Point totals from Day 1 and Day 2 will determine the overall tournament winner.
   
  Note: Four-Ball Match Play is described in the USGA Rules (Rule 23).

Day 2

 Game 2 Format Four Ball Match Play– Sunday, September 28th, 2025

Game 2 Format - Will be Same as Day 1 Format, however invididual point play

Pairings could be different based on Captains decisions

Players will play from the "Black Tee's" on Round 2

Registration

• Registration required + Green Fees Paid by Player ($50 per round - includes cart and unlimited range balls)
• If you are a MEMBER of Westbrook, there are no Green fees - Green Fees are only for non-members charged by the clubhouse.
• $100 Player Buy-In at Registration (payable online)
• No GHIN # is required to participate
