St Gall Council 17360 is a local Knights of Columbus Council located in Elburn, IL. Our local council was formed in August of 2019 and we have supported Elburn and the surrounding communities ever since.

A brief historty of the Knights of Columbus and

Blessed Father Michael J. McGivney

Blessed Michael McGivney founded the Knights of Columbus in New Haven, CT in 1882. Central to Father McGivney’s founding vision of the Knights of Columbus was providing for the financial security for Catholic families, particularly the widows and orphans of deceased members.

Today the Knights of Columbus represent the World’s Largest Catholic Lay Organization with over 2 million members and their families committed to the vision of this one priest and his founding principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism.
