Stephens County 4-H is positively impacting the lives of young people in our community. Many of these 4-H’ers attribute their involvement in 4-H for the success they have seen in their careers and in life. 4-H helps our community’s youth to reach their full potential, and help prepare them to be the leaders of tomorrow. Youth learn leadership, citizenship, community awareness, healthy lifestyle choices, agriculture awareness, and life skills that will enable them to become productive and contributing members of our society. Take a look at the youth in the Stephens County 4-H program, and you will see more than young people talking about the future – you’ll see them creating their future. Georgia 4-H is youth and adults learning, growing, and working together to experience and accomplish the extraordinary. Proceeds will fund 4-H summer camp scholarships and 4-H educational programing.

     The purpose of the Agriculture and Natural Resources program of the UGA Extension office is to provide un-biased research-based information to the agricultural producers, homeowners, and businesses of Stephens County. Over the course of the year, we provide educational meetings in many different topic areas. Some of the topics include soil fertility, proper water use, safe pesticide application, crop management, pasture management, and home gardening. Your support is needed to provide supplies, meals, and for other expenses associated with holding these educational meetings.
