The Bob MacLea Scholarship Fund was created in remembrance of Bob and his outstanding contribution to the LP industry as a leader, innovator, mentor, and friend. The annual Swing for Certification raises funds from its sponsors to perpetuate Bob’s legacy through the scholarships it provides to LP professionals seeking to continue their professional development with either the LPCertified or LPQualified course.
Bob was a founding member of the Foundation in 2006 and served on the executive and audit committees until his retirement in October 2016. He spent his loss prevention career of 41 years with TJX Companies, where he was the Senior Vice President of Loss Prevention from 2010 until his retirement. Bob was an innovator, a mentor, a true LP industry leader and, most importantly, a friend to anyone in their time of need. There are countless stories of Bob lending his ear, his heart, his compassion and love for those experiencing life challenges. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Sadly, Bob passed away in 2018.
