Tax Information

All registration fees will be collected as donations to the Benjamin Isaac Foundation, a 501.c.3 charitable organization. Benjamin Isaac Foundation will furnish the proceeds of the event to the ALS Association Northern Ohio Chapter, another 501.c.3 charitable organization. Your registration fee is tax deductible, but it is important to note a recent change to the tax code. New tax legislation included specific changes for the way that charitable donations, specifically those that come in the form of golf outings, may be deducted. To comply with new tax language, all golfers who so request it will receive an itemized receipt that outlines the "fair market value" of the outing. We have worked with Rose's Run to provide this information, summarized below:

Fair Market Value of Outing: $53.99

For your planning, under the new tax code, only the portion of your donation in excess of the fair market value is eligible as a deduction. We have tried to pack as much value as we possibly could into the event, and want all golfers to be aware of the implications of the new tax code, which limits the advantageousness of itemizing these kinds of donations.
