The Jenny Classic

We are once again excited for you to join us for a very inspiring day. 

A day to remember and honour our dearly missed Jenny, but also a day to Celebrate ALL NURSES. Something very dear to Jenny's own heart. 

As a talented and devoted nurse, Jenny had a passion to help and educate others, and this could not have been made more apparent throughout her battle with Pancreatic Cancer. During her illness, Jenny made it her mission to use her knowledge as an oncology nurse to educate and help others all over the world suffering from the same fate. 

Jenny left a lasting legacy in her work to help others suffering from this illness, despite her own diagnosis, and it is truly humbling to see what an impact she left on so many. In her final days, Jenny shared another incredible piece of her legacy she wished to leave behind, which was to pay for the university education of a student pursuing a career in nursing.

The First Annual Jenny Classic was a huge success, raising over $69,000 to help carry on Jenny's legacy she hoped to leave behind. In collaboration with the University of Alberta Faculty of Nursing, the Jenny Guittard Memorial Award in Nursing is now officially established, and will be funding the education of future nurses for years to come. 

If last year's inaugural event was any indication, you can expect a fun filled day and evening of golf,  great food, awesome live music (courtesy of local cover band Mourning Wood) and a jam packed dance floor until late!

This years event will once again be a fundraiser to continue to raise funds to support Jenny's final wishes, and a chance for us all to celebrate and support current and future nurses. 

Please join us this year (and hopefully many years to come) to make another huge impact on behalf of Jenny, and to keep her amazing spirit and legacy alive in all of our hearts.
