There is a lot to celebrate this summer, and we welcome you to do so with us for a day of safe fun, sun and friendly competition in the inaugural The Record Open charity golf outing. 

The Record North Shore is a nonprofit, nonpartisan community news outlet serving Chicago's northern suburbs. We believe that you deserve reliable local news and our public-service reporting is free for all to read at TheRecordNorthShore.org. All proceeds from this event support responsible news reporting for your community. 

All golfers receive 18 holes with a cart, a boxed lunch, a drink ticket and chances to win a number of contests, including lowest group score, Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin. There will also be a 50/50 raffle where you can take home some cash. 

Sponsorship opportunities are still available! Get your name out there and enjoy the event by becoming an event sponsor or hole sponsor. We have options for all. 

See the schedule and details below, but check in starts at 12:30 p.m. with tee off at 2 p.m. The format is a scramble, in which the team selects the best shot and plays their ball from that spot.
