I want to thank each on of you that signed up for the 2018 Tri-Valley Memorial Charity Golf Tournament this year. You are loyal supporters and I want you all to know that I really appreciate your commitment to our cause. Unfortunately, the number of people that have signed up is not enough to allow us to move forward, so we must cancel the event this year.
I am saddened, but hopeful. Knowing that all of you were willing to sign up and participate gives me pride in knowing that we can help. To date, our supporters, you, have allowed us to give over $102,000 to help women as they fight breast cancer. These women, the memory of my mom, and Tom's mom are the motivation behind all of these efforts.
I will be issuing refunds to your method of payment and those refunds should show on your bank or credit card statements in 5-10 days according to the Stripe website (processor of the online payments). If you paid by check, I will write a check and send it to you this week.
All is not lost though. If you still want to help, we have several options to choose from.
As a reminder, our charity does not have any expenses other than those of putting on this golf event. We pay the golf course to play, we buy raffle gifts if we can't get them donated, and we pay service fees on the collection of credit card payments. That's it. There are no administrative expenses. This means more money for the women in need. If we can get more donations through any of the four options above, we can still help women in their fight against breast cancer and we can do it without any expenses at all. This means more money for our cause.
Once again, I want to thank you for your support and to apologize for the cancellation of the event. We will continue our efforts to help these women in honor of my mom and Tom's mom, we just won't be able to do it the way we planned. Thank you again for your understanding and support.
