We consider our Event Sponsors and Golfers to be advocates for the mental health and physical wellness of teens battling cancer.
Do you remember being a teenager? It is a unique time in all our lives. We learn to understand our identity, explore who we are, discover support systems and forge our independence. Now imagine being diagnosed with cancer during a time in our lives that is already challenging! You are given adult size problems without having had the life experience to manage a life-threatening illness.
A cancer diagnosis causes isolation, many physical effects as well as psychological distress. It is important for a teenager to assemble a strong “tool box” of skills to help process and cope with the continued lifelong challenges of a cancer diagnosis. We work to empower each teen to find an age-appropriate role in their cancer treatment and develop a voice that is heard by their support people and medical team. Only through support and caring can each diagnosed teen truly learn how to turn their pain into power.
Thank you for helping us support and care for our MIPs.
Sponsorship Does Make a Difference
When you choose to sponsor the golf outing you are choosing to have a direct impact on a teenager fighting cancer. We are a 100% volunteer driven non-profit that depends on our donors to support our mission to foster and promote mental health support and social services for adolescent and young adult Oncology Patients.
Thank you to our Turning Pain into Power Charity Golf Outing Sponsors for your support! Please consider supporting our Sponsors!
