The Walker Golf Tournament     

Welcome!

Thank you for your interest.  We hope you decide to join us Saturday, October 1st, 2022.

The Walker family organized the golf tournament in 1994 in memory of Gary and Henry Walker for the purpose of supporting the baseball program at UNC.  Gary and Henry were UNC football players and became close friends with long-time and legendary UNC baseball coach Tom Petroff.

Since the tournament's inception, proceeds have funded baseball uniforms, baseball and field equipment, the UNC Baseball Diamond Club, and a scholarship fund.

UNC is the only public NCAA Division I baeball program in Colorado.  Did you know that UNC has sent teams to ten NCAA College World Series?   True!   It has not happened since 1974, but we would all like to see them return for #11.  We hope, in a small way, that this tournament and your support will help the Bears achieve that goal.  Go Bears!

With the 2022 tournament proceeds, we will help fund general equipment needs and begin efforts to transform Jackson Field from grass to artifical turf.  Seriously.   Go Bears!

We prefer payment prior to the tournament day (using this portal for online payments), but you may pay the day of the tournament.

If you wish to register and join a specific group, that's possible.  Select the group size option after clicking on  the orange "Register Now" box (above).   It is much easier for the first person in your group registering  to identify all players in the group.   If unknown, answer "No"  rather than providing a name and a space will be reserved for the unknown names.     We can easily assign singles/doubles to their desired groups.   Send Erik an email identifying the group leader's name.    No worries.

You may also buy the customary raffle tickets online when registering rather than the day of the tournament.   Of course, you will still be able to buy raffle tickets when checking in on Oct. 1.

Yes, please check-in with us even if you have paid online prior to the tournament date.
