Could you use a vacation or a little cash in your pocket? How does a Hawaiian vacation for two or $5000.00 cash sound to you? Come join us for a fun outing of golf on September 23rd, 2019 to benefit a worthy scholarship fund intended for a deserving local person, as we seek to pay forward the adage 'be better today'. Tournament sponsors, Leo Construction and Software AG, will be sponsoring two prominent prize opportunities: Hawaii vacation and $5000.00 cash. The only way to win is to be there September 23rd!!! Other prizes and gifts will be awarded and lunch will be provided.

Scholarship Info:
The John David Washington Scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman at Emory & Henry College who have demonstrated participation in high school organizations and/or campus involvement, a cumulative 2.5 GPA and financial need. Preference to awarding the scholarship will be as follows: 1) Resides in Loudoun County, VA 2) Resides in a surrounding county to Loudoun, or 3) Resides in Virginia
Story
Washington's Warriors, LLC is a non-profit organization that seeks to raise educational funds in the namesake of its honoree, John David Washington. The organization honoree was a beloved member of his family and community. As a former graduate and football alum of Emory & Henry College, John was a lover of golf, and a consumer of all things sports. As a husband and father of three he loved giving back to kids in the community and sharing with his own through coaching. He recognized and celebrated their growth and successes and did not hesitate to provide uplifting words of encouragement. His approach was not just about being a better athlete but also pouring into kid's skills to be a better person. Anyone that truly knew John would have known his kindness. John was a treasured son, husband, father, brother, and friend. Unfortunately, an insurmountable life challenge (leukemia) intersected with John's life and a life well lived was cut shorter than anyone would have wanted.
We as Washington's Warriors would like to continue John's legacy of giving back to kids by supporting an endowed scholarship that has been established in his name at Emory & Henry College. The sole purpose of Washington's Warriors, LLC is to provide a vehicle to raise funds in this effort. Your participation or donations to this effort would be greatly appreciated. One of John's mottos was to 'Be better today, than you were yesterday'. Words we can all live by. Please join us and make a contribution toward helping a scholarship awardee 'be better today' and tomorrow.
