This year the NAACP Western Wayne County Branch and the Inkster Taskforce partnered together for the 2025 'IT TAKES A VILLAGE' GOLF OUTING.  This is the 3rd year that the NAACP Western Wayne County Branch will host a Golf Outing. 

The 'IT TAKES A VILLAGE' Golf Outing will take place on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at the Willow Metro Park Golf Course located at 22900 Huron River Dr. in New Boston, MI  48164.  There will be gifts, prizes and awards;  Longest Drive, Closest to the Hole and Overall Team Winner.  

Proceeds from this event go to fund programs for students living in the Western Wayne County area.  Programs include sponsorship for students to attend Historical Black College & Universities (HBCU) Tours, and programs that focus on education, health, safety and financial literacy.

The work that each of our organizations does is focused on uplifting and educating residents in Western Wayne County communities.

Parenting is tough - but 'IT TAKES A VILLAGE' to raise a child.  It's time to mobilize wider support to enable familes to flourish and give children the best start in life.
