Guest Speaker: Theo Fleury - Former NHL All Star winner and Olympic Gold Medalist and Author of two-time best selling books

"I knew if I wanted to be successful I had no other option but to work harder and longer than anyone else."

We are excited to announce our power house guest speaker for this year! A former National Hockey League player, he began his career with the Calgary Flames where he played for 10 years, continued with the New York Rangers for three years and then finishing his NHL career with the Chicago Blackhawks. Fleury played with Team Canada in both the 1998 and 2002 Winter Olympics, capturing gold in 2002. In 2009 he wrote the bestselling novel “Playing with Fire,” an autobiography detailing his difficult past and recounting his stories of troubled home life, sexual abuse, the use of drugs and alcohol as a coping mechanism and overcoming addiction. He has since become a passionate advocate for sexual abuse victims, speaking nationally and internationally to thousands. Sharing his story with others offers hope and enables victims and survivors alike to overcome the fear and pain of abuse.
