The Nis Ts’edilh Elders and Youth Wellness Society (NEYWS) is proud to host the 6th Annual NEYWS Golf Tournament, bringing together community leaders businesses, and supporters for a day of golf, connection, and meaningful impact.

This year's event takes place on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the syilx/Okanagan people in Kelowna, BC.

The NEYWS Golf Tournament continues to grow each year—not only as a fundraiser, but as a powerful gathering of community, collaboration, and purpose. With your support, we are able to create real and lasting impact for Elders and Youth across British Columbia, strengthening wellness initiatives, cultural connection, and opportunities for Indigenous communities. 

We’re excited to welcome you back for 2026 as we continue the tradition of generosity, networking, and positive change.

Opening Ceremony

We are honoured to begin the day with a Welcome to the Traditional Territory by Anona Kampe, recognizing the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the syilx/Okanagan people.

Banquet Dinner Co-Emcees

We are pleased to welcome Don Burnstick and Tara William as the Banquet Dinner Emcees for the 2026 NEYWS Golf Tournament.  Don Burnstick will the lead the evening with comedy, audience engagement, and banquet emceeing, while Tara will help guide the flow of the program, support transitions, and lead acknowledgement throughout the night.  Together they will help create an unforgettable banquet experience filled with laughter, energy and celebration.

Special Guest: Jordin Tootoo

Jordin Tootoo is a trailblazer, role model, and one of the most respected Indigenous athletes in Canada.  Born in Churchill, Manitoba, Jordin made history as the First Inuk player in the NHL, breaking barriers and inspiring Indigenous youth across the country. 

Over a 10-year NHL career, Jordin played for the Nashville Predators, Detroit Red Wings, New Jersey Devils, and Chicago Blackhawks,  earning a reputation as a fierce competitor, dedicated teammate, and leader both on and off the ice. 

Beyond hockey, Jordin is widely known for his courage and honesty.  He has spoken openly about his journey through grief, addiction, and healing, becoming a powerful advocate for mental health, wellness, and Indigenous empowerment.  Today, he works tirelessly with youth, communities, and organizations, sharing a message of resilience, accountability, and hope.

We are honoured to welcome Jordin Tootoo to the YLP Annual Golf Tournament 2026.  His presence brings more than star power - it brings inspiration, connection, and a shared committment to community strength and wellness.
