Team Free Throw?

Each team is allowed one team throw for the tournament.

• The throw is in lieu of the all players hitting their ball.  You must declare that you are using your throw instead of hitting the next shot;
• Throws can be used on any hole;
• A throw can be used to advance the ball without adding a stroke (even on the green)
• The ball must be thrown from the position chosen by the team as their “best ball” by one of the players on the team;
• The player must throw the ball from the location of the found ball; 
• For those who hit all of their balls in the woods, one of the balls must be found to use the throw;
• The team chooses which one player utilized the throw shot.

Example 1:  Team A is lying 2, 30 feet from the green.  They elect to use a throw to advance the ball to the green.  Team A is still lying 2 after the throw.

Example 2:  Team B all had short drives from the tee.  They use a throw to advance the ball further.  Team B still lying 1.

Example 3:  Team C all tee off into the woods and/or hazard.  They are able to find one ball and use a throw to advance the ball back in bounds.  Team C is still lying 1.

Example 4:  Team D all hit their ball in a water hazard.  They are able to find and retrieve one ball and use a throw to advance the ball out of the hazard from where the ball crossed the hazard line.  Team D is still lying 1 (assuming they hit the ball off the tee).
