🎓2025 Magic City Scholars🎓
Meet Mr. Julian Duncan, a 2024–2025 Magic City Scholar and 2025 graduate of Trinity Byrnes High School. A dedicated student-athlete and leader, Julian served as Student Council Executive Board Treasurer, was Cross Country and Soccer Team Captain, and actively volunteered in his community. This fall, he will attend North Carolina A&T State University to major in Accounting and pursue becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Meet Saveah Williamson, a 2024–2025 Magic City Scholar and 2025 graduate of Latta High School. Saveah was an active member of the National Honor Society and National Beta Club, while also serving in her church through the YPD, junior choir, junior usher board, and praise team. This fall, she will attend Florence-Darlington Technical College to pursue a degree in Nursing, with plans to focus on pediatric care.
Meet Lyrica Myers, a 2024–2025 Magic City Scholar and 2025 graduate of South Florence High School. Lyrica was actively involved in numerous organizations including Concert Choir, National Honor Society, Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta, National English Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, Phi Theta Kappa, and the Student Government Association. She also earned her CNA license and volunteered in her community. This fall, she will attend the University of South Carolina – Columbia to major in Nursing.
Meet Dominic Staten, a 2024–2025 Magic City Scholar and 2025 graduate of Wilson High School. Dominic was actively involved in Football, Wrestling, and Track & Field, and was a member of the National Honor Society and Beta Club. He also served his church, St. Paul AME, as YPD Secretary and Treasurer while volunteering in community service activities. This fall, he will attend Clemson University, where he will major in Communications and play on the Clemson Football Team.
Meet Joseph Ellerbe, a 2024–2025 Magic City Scholar and 2025 graduate of Wilson High School. Joseph was actively involved in JV Baseball, the school newspaper, Palmetto Boys State, and the FYBL Basketball League. He also dedicated time to community service through various initiatives and youth mentoring programs. This fall, he will attend the University of South Carolina – Columbia to major in Business, with plans to become a Financial Analyst.
